Atlas Water Softening System

Florida Water Technologies, Inc. is proud to bring to you our Atlas Water Softening System to Jacksonville FL and surrounding areas. North East Florida contains the hardest water supply on the entire east coast. According to the WQA, Very Hard Water measures 7-10.5 grains per gallon. Our areas hard water readings are from the mid teens to the upper twenties!! As a result our location attracts a lot of big expensive water softener companies (But not here!). Claiming the high price is somehow justified by some proprietary element of quality, they do their best to convince you to pay their high prices. Our premium water softener system, Atlas, uses the highest quality, best components available on the market today. The strongest resin, insulated tank jacket, Max Flow internal plumbing components, ceramic disc valve (and more), we created this water softening system to be the outperform and outlast other more expensive water softeners in the premium segment, without breaking the bank (it's only $400 more than Hydro Standard). Built to last vs Built to fail

Let's take a moment to talk components.

Ceramics are 100% stronger than rubber O-Rings

The main job of the water softener control valve is to facilitate regeneration when the ion exchange resin is exhausted. So, every water softener has internal moving parts to make this work. 90% of water softeners in Jacksonville use a piston driven valve comprised of O-rings. This is where we differ. We use a fixed disc and a moving ceramic disc.

It's All About Friction

It's time for an upgrade. Fleck created the first piston driven water softener valve in 1968. Since then there has been very little improvement to the piston driven valve, until now. Our valve was invented 25 years ago and now holds patents in 23 countries. In fact, our ceramic disc valve is the third most used water softener valve in the world. It holds certifications in the US market through the testing agency NSF, and meets the hazardous substances ban set by the European Union, CE and ROHS certifications. Each ceramic disc is x rayed, hardness tested, acid/alkaline tested and polished perfectly smooth. Rotary ceramic disc water softener valves cycle up faster then the older piston driven valves like Fleck and Clack. In fact, ceramics are so superior than O-ring style water valves, they are now used in our kitchen faucet and bathroom faucet and shower valves.

Critical Question: Does your water softener use a piston driven valve or a ceramic moving disc?

Hard Water is a Problem

Hard water causes white spots and buildup of film. When combined with soap, the minerals form soap curd or scum that makes skin dry and itchy, hair lifeless, laundry dull and builds up on fixtures. Hard water decreases the life expectancy of your faucets and fixtures and appliances by up to 40%.
